Q. Does FlexFlow Elbow help save energy both in residential and commercial applications?
A. Yes, FlexFlow Elbow improves airflow by eliminating kinks and restrictions in residential and commercial flexible duct installations. Improved airflow saves energy by allowing unrestricted air delivery. Less "work" is required by air handling equipment to deliver conditioned air to occupied spaces.

Q. I am a mechanical engineer and would like to specify FlexFlow Elbow on all of my future projects. Do you have a sample specification and detail drawings?
A. Yes, click here to view a sample specification. Click here to view CAD Detail Images. Click here to request Electronic CAD Detail Images.

Q. Can FlexFlow Elbow be retrofitted?
A. Yes, in about 30 seconds. FlexFlow Elbow straps over the outer jacket of any brand and any size (6" - 16") flexible duct. Improve airflow and save energy at new or existing installations.

Q. Will mechanical engineers and code officials accept FlexFlow Elbow?
A. Yes, mechanical engineers and code officials have both been very receptive to FlexFlow Elbow. It quickly and effectively solves a major problem with flexible duct installations. (Kinked and compressed duct causing airflow restrictions)

Q. I'm a contractor. Can I install adjustable sheet metal elbows faster and cheaper than FlexFlow Elbows?
A. No, the FlexFlow Elbow installation is much more economical. A small diameter adjustable elbow may cost less to purchase initially, but takes much more time to install. Sheet metal elbows also have to be sealed and insulated. Click here to view a comparison video.

Q. Is FlexFlow Elbow UL listed and approved for use in return air plenum spaces?
A. Yes, it was tested using UL 2043. Click here for complete UL information.

Q. Can FlexFlow Elbow be used for both commercial and residential applications?
A. Yes, FlexFlow Elbow has been put to use in both commercial and residential applications. It can be used for supply, return, and exhaust systems, above ceilings, under raised computer floors, and under mobile homes. Use FlexFlow Elbow with any brand of flexible duct; residential and commercial, where a 90° bend is required.

Q. Why does a FlexFlow Elbow installation generate less noise at the diffuser than a sheet metal elbow installation?
A. Two reasons, unrestricted airflow and the flexible duct formed into an elbow acts as a mini sound attenuator.

Q. Do I still have to use a nylon tie strap or steel clamp on the inner flexible duct core?
A. Yes, FlexFlow Elbow is not designed to clamp the inner flexible duct core. Follow flexible duct manufacturers recommended instructions. Flex Flow Elbow installation instructions are on each carton. Click here for additional information.

Q. Does FlexFlow Elbow work with all brands of flexible duct?
A. Yes, any brand, any size (6" to 16" diameter) non-insulated and all "R" values of insulated flexible duct.

Q. Can FlexFlow Elbow be reused?
A. Yes, the clasp can be released using a knife or small flat blade screwdriver.

Q. How many FlexFlow Elbows are in a box?
A. 25. The boxes are small, lightweight and easy to handle.
